PART TIME WOODLAND OFFICER SALARY DEPENDENT ON SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

• BASED AT RIVINGTON ESTATE OFFICE, LANCASHIRE

Our Central woodlands (1500Ha) represent a significant contribution to the biodiversity of the region and play a key role in water management, farm shelter, conservation, access, recreation, and landscape. You will be responsible for maintaining our FSC accreditation and developing dynamic forest plans. With a degree or HND in Forestry and a qualification or significant experience in arboriculture, you will be a dynamic self starter and team player with up- to-date computer and forest surveying skills and share our commitment to the environment and the community. An understanding and experience of forest practice, particularly English forest strategy and forest and water guidelines, is essential, along with an appreciation of related land use practice in relation to water quality and quantity. You will also possess confident communication skills and the sound financial understanding to manage a significant annual budget and the sale of forest produce.
