There’s no business quite like SHOW business!
In 2025, five major trade shows are set to return, along with many others. Over the years, I’ve had the chance to attend each of them multiple times, witnessing the highs and lows of the forestry industry along the way.
Ligna is back this May, and after a successful 2023 event filled with optimism and strong visitor numbers, it’s sure to be a highlight. Elmia Wood, held in the forest near Jönköping, offers a unique experience with live equipment demonstrations in a natural setting, making it an excellent event to attend.
ForExpo in France and Asturforesta in Spain round out the group in Europe. It might be worth considering, though, for the organisers in France and Spain, to avoid overlapping dates in the future.

Asturforesta Spain 19/06/2025 – 21/06/2025
Asturforesta is held every two years in the incomparable natural setting of Monte Armayán, a forest of radiata and Pinus radiata and Pinus pinaster pine with an area of 550 hectares, of which the Fair occupies 45 hectares.
It is a forestry reference in southern Europe and a meeting point for the forestry sector, where the technical advances of the sector will be presented, as well as the market situation at a national and international level. To include forestry and logging, outdoors: animations, demonstration, new technologies, innovations.
