Nokian Tyres At Finnmetko Trade Fair – Presenting A Record Number Of New Products Along With Peace Of Mind From Forest To Highway

Whenever the goods and people move, forest is being harvested or earth moved, the 120 year-old Nokian Tyres is working along. The range of products we present at FinnMETKO 2018 gives an excellent idea how the continuous product development while listening to the end users results in improved tire safety, economy and sustainability – in a word, peace of mind.

Once again, a comprehensive range of machinery companies gather to Jämsä at FinnMETKO 2018 trade fair. Nokian Tyres is presenting a record number of new products for different end user segments as well as some interesting vehicles for the first time in Finland at our booth #38.

Nokian Tractor King
Nokian Tractor King is a new no-compromise tire for tractors used in forestry, earthmoving and road construction work in the most challenging conditions. Representing all-new technology in terms of grip and durability, the strength of the tire carcass is comparable to earthmoving tires. The largest models of the series are also the most massive tires we have ever manufactured. At our booth you’ll be able to see the tires on a gigantic Valtra S Series tractor.

Nokian R-Truck product line
Another new release is a series of truck tires for demanding on and off-road use on e.g. earthmoving and forestry sites around the year. The product line features three tire models: Nokian R-Truck Drive for drive axle use, Nokian R-Truck Steer for steer axle use and Nokian R-Truck Trailer optimized for trailer use. All Nokian R-Truck tires are designed to give both comfortable and quiet ride on the highway as well as offer good grip in various soft surfaces.

Nokian Hakkapeliitta Truck T
Nokian Hakkapeliitta Truck product line, designed for the harshest of winter conditions, has now been complemented with the Hakkapeliitta Truck T model for trailer use. The new product carries on the Nokian Hakkapeliitta tradition of offering the best possible grip and durability for timber transports on small roads and other demanding winter conditions.

Nokian MPT Agile 2
Our new off-road tire Nokian MPT Agile 2 premiers at the trade fair as well. Developed in collaboration with the Finnish Defense Forces, special attention has been paid to tire’s steerability as well as demands set by defense use. The new tire is spectacularly presented on a modular Patria AMV armored wheeled vehicle.

Record-breaking tractor by Valtra and Nokian Tyres
In addition to the previous winter speed record (130.165 km/h), an unmanned Valtra tractor equipped with Nokian Tyres products broke records in a quite new category: snow plowing! Visit our booth to see the record-breaking tractor. New Nokian tyres HTS G2 models released at TOC

Held in Rotterdam, Netherlands, TOC Europe is an event that brings together all the different stakeholders of the container supply chain to learn and discuss – and showcase the latest in port technology. Keeping the goods moving relies heavily on quality tyres, so naturally Nokian Tyres is present with the latest additions to their product line.

New sizes for Nokians latest model
Nokian HTS G2 is the improved new generation of the Nokian HTS harbour tyres. Both slick (Nokian HTS G2 L-4S) and patterned (Nokian HTS G2 E-4) variations bring stability, handling precision and load-bearing capacity for reach stackers, fork lifts and log stackers. To complement the line, both variations are now available also in size 18.00-33.

New models for reach stackers
The Nokian HTS G2 product family now has two new members designed specifically for reach stackers. As the working environment requires good tyre stability, Nokian Tyres has introduced a new carcass material for Nokian HTS G2 with engineering focus on stability on flexing area. This enables improved machine response and safety during operation. New tyre pattern is designed for increased service life as deeper tread enables improved wear resistance and solid center enhances puncture resistance properties.

The best choice for terminal tractors
Nokian HTS Tugger is the first tyre designed especially for terminal tractors. With its low profile, precise handling and massive load-bearing capacity, it suits perfectly for crowded, busy harbours with limited vertical space.
