Canadian lumber production increased by 2.5% in April

Canada’s lumber production rose 0.5% from March to 5 924.6 thousand cubic metres of lumber in April. Production was 2.5% higher than in April 2017, reports Statistics Canada. Sawmills shipped 5 807.0 thousand cubic metres of lumber in April, up 7.7% from March but 1.4% lower than in April 2017.
