Canada’s lumber production rose 6.3% from September to 5 991.0 thousand cubic metres of lumber in October. Production was 1.2% higher than in October 2016, reports Statistics Canada. Sawmills shipped 5 884.0 thousand cubic metres of lumber in October, up 1.1% from September and 0.3% higher than in October 2016.
